What is Korfball?
Korfball was orignially a Dutch sport, similar to Basketball & Netball. It involves passing a ball around and trying to shoot it through a raised basket. It is a mixed team sport with four boys and four girls. Everyone gets a chance to attack and to defend. It is played indoors in the winter, with outdoor summer tournaments, which keeps us busy all year round! It's a great way to keep fit, to get fit, and to socialise, as we train every week. Normally we head down to the pub afterwards to recover. There are league matches most weekends during the winter season and we organise regular socials. This is a great activity for single people to make new friends and for couples to play sport together!
