What is korfball?

Korfball is a Dutch sport that that is similar to Basketball and Netball as it involves passing a ball around and trying to shoot it through a raised basket. It is a mixed sport, with 4 boys and 4 girls needed to make up a team and everyone gets a chance to attack and defend. It is played indoors in the winter, with some outdoor summer tournaments to keep us busy all year.

It’s a great way to keep fit and to socialise, as we train every week, and normally make it to the pub afterwards to recover. League matches tend to be every other weekend over the winter with tournaments in the summer and regular socials.

Give it a try for nothing!
If you are interested come along to one of our training sessions, where you can try it out for free. New players are always welcome. Beginners invited and welcome to join in anytime!

We held successful taster sessions during September '09 with 18 potential new players turning up. Just come along at 8.30pm any Thursday - Blackbrook Sports Centre.
